Color Blocking

What is color blocking anyways?

Color blocking is combining different colors together, each that support one another.
It is made up from Loud & Playful combinations;examples below.

BASIC COLOR WHEEL

You don't really need any directions as the pictures explain for themselves.
You just have to remember a few good tips.

  • Wear colors that compliment your skin tone, nothing to much lighter or darker than your current skin color.

Example: lime greens and bright blues should not be worn by lighter skin tones.colors that go well together include:

1. Cobalt Blue, Yellow, Orange
2. Chocolate Brown, Pink, Peach
3. Purple, Bright Blue, Teal
4. Deep Blue, Bright Pink, White
5. Coral, Grey, Ivory

  • Don't mesh a bunch of patterns together or go completely over the top mixing all sorts of colors together either. You still want to keep it simple and elegant looking.

  • Bigger blocks and bright colors will add an appearance that you are heavier, so if you are of a heavier weight I would suggest sticking with more calm colors.

  • Don't be scared to risk this style, look at yourself before you leave if you think it looks great chances are everyone else will too! Have fun with it and don't take it to seriously.
